Open Position — Direct Care Staff

Direct care workers, also known as personal care assistants, caregivers, home health or personal care aides, give assistance to people who are sick, injured, mentally or physically disabled, or the elderly and fragile. They work in the home and help their clients with daily activities, such as bathing and bathroom functions, feeding, grooming, taking medication, and some housework. Direct care workers help clients make and keep appointments with doctors, provide or arrange transportation, make and serve meals, make sure they take their medicine and serve as a companion for their clients.

Qualifications

  • Provide supervision an assistance with ADL & ILS skills for Developmentally Disable individuals.

  • Implement individual behavior treatment plans for residents and Program Without Walls Day Program.

  • Assist with daily living activities, including preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene

  • Develop a rapport with residents and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship

  • High school diploma/GED required

  • 2+ years’ experience providing direct care to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities

  • Valid New York State drivers license

  • No previous criminal record

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Compassionate about the care and well-being of others

  • Ability to pass a background check

Open Position — Registered Nurse

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work in our Residential Group Home Program for Adults 18+ with developmental disabilities. We are seeking someone with a sincere desire to work with and assist a fun and very special population of adults with intellectual challenges. 

Qualifications

  • New York State license

  • Experience with developmentally disabled preferred

  • Valid California driver’s license; good driving record
